Canadians Fall to .500 After Loss to Racers
|
David Guzman was superb against Vancouver. The left-hander, who is rated as the 6th best prospect by BNN, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 5-2 Racers victory. The winning pitcher was Guzman, now 1-0. He tossed 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 10. Earning his 4th save of the year was Sung-hwan Park.
Bowling Green second baseman Kwang-rak Song made his contribution to the Racers cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the fifth inning. For the day, Song went 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
"Good win for us," said Song. "We'll lace up our cleats and go after the next one."
The second-place Racers have won 4 consecutive games.
