Tornadoes Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
The Kansas City Tornadoes electrified the home crowd at Debris Field with a walk-off win.

Kansas City beat Portland at Debris Field, escaping with a 5-4 win. The win in large part was due to designated hitter Oliver North, who earned player of the game honors. He was 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Balamitra Sriramesh got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With no one out, North hit a fastball from Pepe Trevino for a solo home run. The Tornadoes, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," North said in his postgame press conference.

The Tornadoes have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 10th win in 29 games.
