Cats Stick Baristas with 4-2 Loss
|
The game between Fort Worth and Silver Lake is in the books, despite a little rain.
The Fort Worth Cats grabbed a 4-2 win over the Silver Lake Baristas at Ashton Gate. Fort Worth center fielder Chandler Lennie went 4-5 with 4 singles to earn player of the game honors. Robby Guzman got credit for the save for Fort Worth. It was his 24th of the year.
The Cats beat the Baristas with some clutch hitting. The single by Jayden Rossell in the top of the fourth is a good example. With two down, Rossell gave his team the lead, 2-1, when he came through with the big hit.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Lennie.
With the win, the Cats improved to 53-54.
