Castillo Helps Bowling Green Cruise to 11-3 Win
|
The Bowling Green Racers had no problem beating the Coronado Phantoms, 11-3, at Phantoms Field. Lorenzo Castillo led the way. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for Bowling Green. Robert Cook got the win, improving to 4-1. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 1 hits and no runs, while striking out 9 and walking 3. The Racers move to 56-50 with the win, while the Phantoms drop to 55-53.
Castillo provided the big break for the Racers in the top of the first inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run, helping Bowling Green to get the win.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Castillo said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
