Caterpillars Come Back Late, Nip Freeze
The Peoria Caterpillars picked up a win at The Ice Box, knocking off the Minneapolis Freeze, 4-3. Starting pitcher Juan Martínez played a key role in the triumph. Peoria reliever Adam Stickells picked up the win, upping his record to 3-8. Mitsuharu Nakashima took the loss. Peoria is now 50-59.

Had it not been for Luis Ricciardi, the results might have been different. In the top of the ninth inning, when the Caterpillars were trailing 3-2, Ricciardi hit a 2-run double for Peoria, giving his team the lead.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Minneapolis manager John Justin.
