5 Straight Wins for Canadians
|
Fairfield catcher Garin Renzenbrink had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Renzenbrink was 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks, even as Vancouver beat the Flash, 6-5. Renzenbrink was named the player of the game despite the loss. Alberto Ramírez sewed up the save, his 16th. Vancouver has now won 5 straight, while the Flash have lost 4 in a row.
The Canadians got a big boost from right fielder Peer Ehles who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth inning off Flash hurler Saiyid Mashwanis. It was his 19th RBI of the season and put Vancouver on top, 6-5.
"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Ehles.
