Yokoyama, Argonauts Too Much for Death Stars
|
The rain came, as predicted, but the Astoria Argonauts and Detroit Death Stars were able to complete their ballgame.
Astoria catcher Yaichiro Yokoyama had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 7-3 win over the Detroit Death Stars. Astoria, at 49-58, occupies 5th place in the Darryl Kile League Cito Gaston League.
In the top of the third inning, Mun-wah Lok contributed a big hit for the Argonauts. With Astoria leading 1-0, he hammered a 2-run home run.
Yokoyama told the Astoria Citizen: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
