Canadians Pull Even With 2-0 Victory
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Vancouver Canadians and the Silver Lake Baristas, Po-sin Pang was the difference-maker. The Vancouver right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 2-0 win. Pang, now 6-9, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing no earned runs. Alberto Ramírez got the save, his 15th in 18 chances.
Chipping in for Vancouver was center fielder Armando Ramos. He stroked a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Ramos went 1 for 4 with a double.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Vancouver manager John Harrison.
Vancouver is now 52-52. Silver Lake is 41-65.
