Barlow goes 4-for-5 to Power Caterpillars Offense
A 3-RBI performance from Francis Barlow, who is tied for 9th in the DKL in triples with 4, helped the Peoria Caterpillars beat the Scranton Escape, 8-4. Juan Martínez got the win, improving to 1-1. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 3. Getting the save was Matt Howard, his 1st.

Barlow came through with some timely hitting for Peoria. With the score 1-1 in the top of the fifth and one down, Barlow hit a 2-2 slider for a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season made it 3-1, Peoria.

"Francis is still learning," said Caterpillars manager Roberto Martínez. "The sky's the limit for him."

The Caterpillars improve their record to 48-56 with the win over Scranton.
