6 Straight Wins for Bombers
|
The South Carolina Bombers wiggled past the San Diego Hops, 5-4, at The Brew Stade. South Carolina pitcher Prince Percival Papenfuss earned player of the game honors. Si-hun Park picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-1. Naomi Kobayashi was tagged with the loss. With the loss, San Diego falls to 13-13.
Shawn Harris's hit in the top of the tenth was a game-changer. With no one out, he rapped a sinker from Naomi Kobayashi for a run-scoring single. It put South Carolina in front, 5-4.
"It was terrific getting this win," Harris said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
