The Minneapolis Freeze knocked off the Coronado Phantoms, 6-3, at The Ice Box. Akihiro Matsumoto, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Minneapolis won. The third baseman went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times. Minneapolis has now won 10 games in a row.

Rafael Vázquez contributed an important at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was one at-bat that helped send Minneapolis to the win.

"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Matsumoto. "I think we showed that here."
