Severns Shines in Cacti Win
|
The Albuquerque Cacti stymied the Billings Mustangs, 6-1, at Cobb Field. Joe Severns, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Albuquerque. Todd Anderson, credited with the win, is now 5-3. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4 innings. The Mustangs, now 47-52, have lost 4 in a row.
Floyd McAuley did his part for the Cacti, producing a double in the top of the second inning. For the game, the first baseman was 2-4 with a double.
