The Silver Lake Baristas got a strong performance from pitcher Arata Shimizu, who stymied the Acapulco offense en route to a 9-0 win at Underdogs Ballpark. Javier Vargas, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save. The Baristas' win now puts them at 37-61.

Jon Miron came through for Silver Lake in the top of the third. With one out, Miron victimized Lonnie Young with a 3-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put Silver Lake on top, 3-0.

Baristas manager José Alonzo had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
