Racers Shut Out Escape
|
Left-hander Alexis Garrett mesmerized the Scranton Escape while leading the Bowling Green Racers to a 4-0 victory. Bowling Green is in second place in the Nick Adenhart League Tony La Russa Division with a record of 50-43.
Tynan Miller said the idea of hitting a home run barely crossed his mind when he came to bat in the top of the seventh. Miller belted a 3-run home run to stake Bowling Green to a 3-0 lead. His 9th home run of the season came off Scranton pitcher Aurelien Bonello.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Garrett told reporters after the game.
