Hornets Fall Short at Seattle
|
Eureka pitcher Morgan Tyson gave the Sasquatch all they could handle, but in the end, Seattle left Sick's Stadium with a 3-2 win. Tyson allowed 1 earned run on 7 hits over 6.1 innings. The Hornets, now 15-13, continue their sluggish start.
In the bottom of the 8th, the Sasquatch grabbed the lead on a two-out single by Jesús Lópes. Seattle at the time was trailing 2-1, but Lópes's 2-run single off Elliott Rogers put his team in front.
Eureka manager Stephen Jackson said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
