Ashton Gate was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Fairfield Flash and the Silver Lake Baristas.

The Fairfield Flash eked out a 4-3 win versus the Silver Lake Baristas at Ashton Gate. Nobody did more than pitcher Joe Jackson, who captured player of the game honors. Fairfield improves to 53-39 with the win. They lead their division by 3½ games.

Gabriel Gómez contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the eighth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he grounded out. It was one at-bat that helped Fairfield get the win.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Gary Altman, the Fairfield manager.
