Banditos Pick Up 6-4 Win
|
The Acapulco Banditos overcame a good performance by Scranton catcher Ryuichi Kobayashi to knock off Scranton, 6-4, at Hell Stadium. Kobayashi went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Lex Herrewijn got the save, the 23rd for him this season. Acapulco is in 4th place in the Nick Adenhart League Tony La Russa Division with a record of 49-44.
Lewis Hoskins didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run single to put Acapulco on top, 2-0.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Hoskins told the Acapulco Citizen. "It's as simple as that."
