Racers Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
The Bowling Green Racers beat the Acapulco Banditos, 8-6, at Top of the Hill. The win was largely due to the efforts of catcher Carter Kotas, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Joël Barbier picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-1. Nobukazu Nakamura was tagged with the loss. Barry Sherman closed the door for Bowling Green, picking up his 1st save of the year.

Kotas contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped Bowling Green get the win.

"I like the roll we're on," said Bowling Green manager Walt Dobson.

The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Racers.
