Takeda Gets Win in Bowling Green Rout
|
It was a good time at Top of the Hill, where fans came to watch the Silver Lake Baristas and Bowling Green Racers get after it.
Bowling Green Racers starter Masamichi Takeda had all his pitches working at Top of the Hill. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 11-1 Bowling Green win over the Silver Lake Baristas. The Racers sit in third place in the Nick Adenhart League Tony La Russa Division with a record of 46-39.
Takeda was effective for Bowling Green, seldom allowing the Baristas to square up a pitch. The left-hander tossed 102 pitches over 8 innings. He limited Silver Lake to just 1 run on 4 hits.
Racers manager Walt Dobson had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
