Astoria rode a fine outing from starter Chris Pelton to victory over the Peoria Caterpillars at Golden Fleece Park. The final score was 5-1. The Argonauts, at 42-44, sit in third place in the Darryl Kile League Cito Gaston League.
Making an impact for Astoria was catcher Mendel Israel. He drilled a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Israel went 1 for 4.
