The War Dome was the site of a tense game between the Chicago Titans and Scranton Escape.
Pitcher Junji Kobayashi was sensational for the Scranton Escape in his team's 2-1 triumph over the Chicago Titans. Kobayashi received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Kobayashi picked up the win for Scranton, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 9-6. Javier Colón converted his 7th save in 9 tries.
In the top of the second, Luis López hit a run-scoring triple for Scranton. The 1st triple of the season for the Scranton designated hitter put the Escape on top, 1-0.
"The old adage is true," said López. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
