Victory Pushes Racers Record to 45-39
|
Pitcher Alexis Garrett was sensational for the Bowling Green Racers in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Silver Lake Baristas. Garrett received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. The winning pitcher was Garrett, now 3-6. He tossed 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 9. Bowling Green now sits in third place in the Nick Adenhart League Tony La Russa Division at 45-39.
Also pitching in for Bowling Green was third baseman Jose Serrano, who hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, Serrano went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Garrett.
