Detroit pitcher Dao-zi Chou gave the Bumblebees all they could handle, but in the end, Pasadena left The Death Star with a 7-4 win. Chou allowed 1 earned run on 3 hits over 7 innings. Pasadena reliever Yoshitoki Hakui picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Raul Nunez shouldered the loss. The save went to Gilberto Chávez, his 11th this season.
