Bush goes 4-for-5 to Power Fireballs Offense
|
Benefiting from Ken Bush's productive game, the Joplin Fireballs downed the Minneapolis Freeze, 9-2. The first-place Freeze have dropped 5 straight games.
Going deep for Joplin was Toby Chave. The left fielder had a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning for the Fireballs. It put his team ahead, 4-1, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Chave went 1 for 5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll keep our chins up and get ready for the next game," said losing manager John Justin.
