Fans who gathered at Don Corleone Park saw a good contest between the New York Mafia and San Francisco Earthquakes.
New York rode a good effort from starter Mehmood Dar to beat the San Francisco Earthquakes at Don Corleone Park. The final score was 4-2. Clemente Curry picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-2. Christian Wallace was tagged with the loss.
Kimi Kokura was the walk-off hero for New York. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mafia first baseman hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.
"It's a mindset," said Dar. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
The loss drops San Francisco to 11-14.
