António García added some punch to the Chicago offense, helping them outmuscle the Acapulco Banditos, 12-7. In the game, García was 4-5 with 4 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Chicago reliever Liu-liang Xi was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Allen Blair took the loss for Acapulco. Chicago is now 45-41, Acapulco 46-38.

The Titans got a lift from first baseman Denzel Drewry who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning off Jon Green. It was his 5th RBI of the season and put Chicago in front, 8-7.

"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," García said. "That's how it goes."
