Indian Wells Aeropostales starter Takeji Ogawa was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Vancouver Canadians, 9-4. Picking up the save was Kevin Spurr, his 3rd. The Aeropostales saw their record improve to 41-42.

Wilson Rodríguez came through for Indian Wells in the bottom of the first. With two out, Rodríguez victimized Alberto Ramírez with a 2-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and put Indian Wells on top, 2-0.

Rodríguez said afterward that he was glad to contribute to the win.
