The Minneapolis Freeze dealt the Fort Worth Cats a 6-4 loss at The Ice Box. Reece Wager was the star on offense. He went 2 for 2 with a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs. Les van Kleef got credit for the win, improving to 5-3. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. Minneapolis is now 43-35, 6˝ games up in the Darryl Kile League Joe Torre Division.
Stephen Granger was one of the major contributors to the win for Minneapolis. The light-hitting left fielder stroked a single to right in the bottom of the fourth inning. For the day, he went 1-3, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Wager.
