Yokoyama Lifts Argonauts to 11-3 Win
|
The Astoria Argonauts had no problem beating the Canton Paczkis, 11-3, at Mckinley Park. Yaichiro Yokoyama led the way. He went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Astoria. The Argonauts now have a mark of 36-41.
Astoria grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, Yeong-il Kim delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 4-3 in favor of the Argonauts.
"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Yokoyama told the Astoria Citizen. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
