Banditos Get Close Win Over Death Stars
|
The Acapulco Banditos beat the Detroit Death Stars, 8-5, at Underdogs Ballpark. The Banditos got a fine performance from pinch hitter Dave Braun, who captured player of the game honors. He went 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Detroit's current losing streak is now 5 games.
Had Braun not come through in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Braun hit a grand slam. The Banditos never looked back after taking the 8-5 lead.
