|
The Minneapolis Freeze outlasted the Chicago Titans in an extra-inning thriller.
The Minneapolis Freeze downed the Chicago Titans, 5-4, at The War Dome. Reece Wager led the way, going 2-for-4 for Minneapolis. Minneapolis occupies first place in the Darryl Kile League Joe Torre Division at 41-34.
Seoul, South Korea-born Won-min Kong came through in the clutch. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd and the Freeze trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run double to right to put Minneapolis on top.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Wager.
