Felipe De La Hoya pitched well, but the Vancouver Canadians still lost the game, falling 3-2 to the Silver Lake Baristas at Ashton Gate. Silver Lake reliever Takashi Toru picked up the win, upping his record to 1-3. Felipe De La Hoya was saddled with the loss. Cyprien Bataille earned his 6th save in 8 tries.

Tony Gómez's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning was a big one for Silver Lake. Coming to bat with two out, runners on 1st and 3rd and Silver Lake leading 2-1, the shortstop reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Gómez said.
