Cats Rally to Eke Out Win

Fort Worth and Bowling Green duked it out at Top of the Hill and the Cats came out victorious.
The Fort Worth Cats picked up a win at Top of the Hill, knocking off the Bowling Green Racers, 6-5. Starting pitcher Austin Meyers was an essential part of his team's success. The win was Robby Guzman's in relief. His record improves to 2-5. Keith Martin took the loss for Bowling Green.
Late-game drama came in the top of the tenth inning. With no one out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Salvador Leon, hit a single. It helped Fort Worth seize the win.
"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Bowling Green manager Walt Dobson.
Their 35-41 record puts the Cats last in the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division.
