Freedom Suffer 6-3 Loss to Raptors

It was a good time at Anchorage Municipal Stadium, where fans came to watch the Philadelphia Freedom and Omaha Raptors get after it.
With shortstop Wilfred Bray leading the charge, the Omaha Raptors defeated the Philadelphia Freedom, 6-3, at Anchorage Municipal Stadium. Bray, who is tied for 6th in the DKL in home runs with 15, went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Jason Engel recorded the save for Omaha, his 8th of the season.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the fifth, with the game tied, Mario Encarnación was at the plate when Omaha scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Raptors to go in front, 2-1.
In comments to the Omaha Daily News, Encarnación admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
Omaha is now 35-39, while Philadelphia is 43-31.
