Dallas designated hitter Masamichi Fujita pounded New York Mafia pitchers at Don Corleone Park, but it was not enough to keep the Texans from falling, 10-5. Fujita hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Jun'ichi Suzuki got the win, improving to 2-1. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 14 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 1. The loss drops Dallas to 12-12.

Skip Clayton contributed an important at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was one at-bat that helped send New York to the win.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Clayton said. "We did a good job of that today."
