The Albuquerque Cacti knocked off the Acapulco Banditos, 10-2, at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. Christophe Langlois, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Albuquerque won. The center fielder was 2 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Gabresilassie Cherono, the winner, improved to 7-6. He held the Banditos to 2 earned runs on 4 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 4. Todd Anderson, credited with the save, is now 1 for 2 in save opportunities.

Langlois had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the second, when he hit a bases-clearing triple. The Cacti went on to win.

"I thought we played a nice game," Langlois told the Albuquerque Observer. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."

The 5th-place Cacti lifted their record to 34-38.
