Howard Goes Off, But Bumblebees Win
Conditions were not ideal but Pasadena and Astoria were able to put their game in the books.

Astoria third baseman John Howard pounded Pasadena Bumblebees pitchers at Golden Fleece Park, but it was not enough to keep the Argonauts from falling, 10-8. Howard slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Pasadena reliever Shouma Morita picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Shumei Bailey took the loss.

In the top of the first inning, Ming Chin muscled up and hit a 3-run home run. It put Pasadena ahead, 3-0. For the game, Chin was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Ramón Rosário.
