Maple Wins 7-3 to Continue Red Hot Start
|
Eddy Jacobse had a good game, but he could not keep the Mile High Mustangs from falling, 7-3, to the Maple Marauders at McNichols Stadium. The Mile High left fielder went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times in the loss. The win was the 19th in 24 games this season for the Marauders, who appear to be on course for a return trip to the playoffs.
Going deep for Maple was Jae-hoon Park. The right fielder had a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning for the Marauders. It put his team ahead, 5-3, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Park went 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Park. "But I like how we're playing right now."
