Fort Worth got a terrific game from designated hitter Ken Paul. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Fairfield, 7-4. Paul was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Saiyid Mashwanis got the win, improving to 3-2. He held the Cats to 3 earned runs on 4 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 2. Ed Armstrong was credited with the save for Fairfield, his 2nd of the season.

In the bottom of the 5th, Fairfield took the lead on a grand slam home run by Hoshi Ishikawa. At the time, the Flash were trailing 3-2, but Ishikawa's hit with two outs against Fort Worth pitcher Hung-chang Chao put them in front, 6-3.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Ishikawa told the Fairfield News.

The Flash are now 36-31, while the Cats fall to 32-38.
