The Aeropostales faced a stiff challenge from Acapulco pitcher Lonnie Young, but persevered to claim a win at Underdogs Ballpark. The final score was 5-2. Young went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Indian Wells reliever Brett Beck picked up the win to move to 2-0. Nobukazu Nakamura suffered the loss. At 34-35, Indian Wells is in 4th place in the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division.
Sergio Orozco's at-bat in the top of the seventh inning was a big one for Indian Wells. Coming to bat with one out, the bases loaded and Indian Wells leading 3-2, the pinch hitter hit a sacrifice fly.
Orozco attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
