Great Day for Measures in Banditos Win
The Acapulco Banditos beat the Silver Lake Baristas, 4-2, at Underdogs Ballpark. The Banditos got a fine performance from catcher Shane Measures, who captured player of the game honors. He slugged 2 home runs. Nobuhito Suzuki earned the win for Acapulco. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 7-5. Lex Herrewijn closed it out for his 17th save.

Measures had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Banditos went on to win.

Silver Lake manager José Alonzo said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.

The Banditos go to 37-29, putting them second in the Nick Adenhart League Tony La Russa Division.
