The Acapulco Banditos got a good effort from starter Jason Walker in defeating the Silver Lake Baristas at Underdogs Ballpark. The final score was 4-1. Lex Herrewijn was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 16 of 16 save opportunities. Acapulco currently is in second place in the Nick Adenhart League Tony La Russa Division at 36-29.

Tied up with the Baristas in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Banditos got a boost from shortstop Kai Jolliffe. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Jolliffe saw a first pitch fastball from Douggie Pitchford and hit a 2-run double to break the stalemate and put Acapulco on top, 3-1.

"Jason was throwing strikes, locating well," said Acapulco manager John Perry.
