Mustangs Fall to Bombers, 7-4
|
Bronx center fielder Randy Griffin made his presence felt in the 7-4 Bombers triumph over the Billings Mustangs. Griffin went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. Sébastien Duval, the winner, improved to 5-1. He held the Mustangs to 4 earned runs on 6 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Bronx has 3 straight wins, Billings 3 straight losses.
Griff Horrocks wielded some clout for Bronx. The designated hitter had a 2-run home run in the top of the first for the Bombers. It put his team ahead, 2-0, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Horrocks was 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
