4-2 Beavers Win over Aces Evens Season Record
|
The Portland Beavers bested the Columbus Aces by a score of 4-2, with left fielder Vihaan Vedant getting the main credit. On the day, Vedant went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs for the Beavers. Portland reliever Jake Adkins got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Greg Finley was tagged with the loss. The Aces fall to 9-13 and continue their uneven start to the 2032 season.
Portland took the lead in the top of the first on a big hit from Ralph Blair. On a full count fastball from Greg Finley, Blair hit a run-scoring single. That made it 1-0, Beavers. For the day, Blair went 1-4.
After the game, Portland manager Ryan Blandford applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
