The Acapulco Banditos put together a convincing win at Hell Stadium, defeating the Scranton Escape, 12-3. Bill Grant was one of the hitting stars. He was 3-5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Acapulco. Nobukazu Nakamura, the winner, improved to 2-0. He held the Escape to 2 earned runs on 4 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 4. One significant at-bat for Acapulco came with the bases loaded in the top of the second. Banditos shortstop Tomiji Kohara drew a walk, driving in 1 run, which helped Acapulco go on to win.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Kohara told the Acapulco Citizen.
