Victory Pushes Caterpillars Record to 34-29
|
Peoria Caterpillars starter Alan Gorringe kept the Antioch Coal Miners hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. At 34-29, the Caterpillars find themselves in third place in the Darryl Kile League Cito Gaston League.
Yeijiro Sato brought the hometown crowd to its feet with no one out in the bottom of the third. That's when the 23-year old catcher belted a 2-run home run. With the round-tripper, the Caterpillars took the lead, 2-0.
"We all want to win," said Sato. "We all want to do our part."
