The Astoria Argonauts stymied the Peoria Caterpillars, 4-1, at Golden Fleece Park. Basker Sahni, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Astoria. Mike Taylor picked up the win with 6.2 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 2-5. Ronald Lee earned his 5th save in 6 tries.

Flexing his muscles for Astoria was the aforementioned Sahni. The designated hitter had a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first for the Argonauts. It put his team ahead, 2-0, and sent them on to victory.
