The Chicago Titans defeated the Scranton Escape, 8-5, at The War Dome. Chicago third baseman Jason Corcoran was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 4-4 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Jeremy Shaw earned the win for Chicago. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 8 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 3-2. Jason Hunter sewed up the save, his 1st.

With Chicago trailing 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, the Titans struck gold when right fielder Kunio Suto turned a 2-2 fastball from Escape hurler Monty Burns into his 9th home run of the season. The hit scored 2 and put Chicago up, 2-1.

"The most important thing is that we won," Suto said.

The Titans now own a record of 30-29.
