Fernández Lifts Death Stars to 9-2 Triumph
The Detroit Death Stars topped the Omaha Raptors, 9-2, with third baseman Raúl Fernández playing a big role. Fernández belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Death Stars in the win. Detroit is now 25-32.

With Detroit leading 3-0 in the top of the sixth, Fernández hit a fastball from Roosevelt Roberts for a grand slam home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Death Stars ahead, 7-0.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Fernández told a Detroit Citizen reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
