The Cats faced a stiff challenge from Albuquerque pitcher Shuichi Imai, but persevered to claim a win at LaGrave Field. The final score was 5-3. Imai went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Austin Meyers earned the win to go to 5-3. He allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits, with 4 walks and 5 strikeouts. Getting the save was Robby Guzman, his 9th.
Jorge Villanueva in the bottom of the eighth had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Cats leading 3-1, the Fort Worth pinch hitter hit a 2-run double.
